Lighting-protection measures for outdoor LED screen

1:Lighting rod is inevitable on the support steel frame of outdoor LED screen but it’s not necessary if some high buildings are located nearby.

2:After connecting LED screen and steel frame, equipotential grounding system is indispensable with grounding resistance less than 10 ohm and lighting arrester must has grounding system.

3:In terms of inductive lighting current in power lines,power lines should be protected with single phase or three-phase lighting arrester based on at least 10mmx10mm cross-section area for phase lines and 16mmx16mm for grounding line.

4:In connection with inductive lighting current in signal cable, lighting arrester is also essential. Signal cable lighting arrester varies from different signal interface, characterised by network signal lighting arrester for network cable and DB9 interface lighting arrester for serial interface. No matter which lighting arrester, the grounding line cross-section area should be more than 1.5mmx1.5mm.
