Chinese Dragon Boat Festival


Dragon Boat festival originates from china,originally relating to expel evils and illness. In the beginning,it’s a dragon boating sports competition custom among totem bribes on Lunar Fifth of May in ancient Jiangsu and Zhejiang districts ahead of Spring and Autumn state period. Later on, Dragon boating festivel is carried on in memory of Quyuan, a famous chinese ancient poet when he passed away on this day.

Dragon Boat festival is national holiday, during which people eat rice dumplings for commemorating Quyuan.
